This is what I personally believe.
I believe:
My supreme desire is to know Christ and by doing this I do my best to live my life like he lived his. The Holy Spirit helps me to do this.
I can have a personal relationship with Jesus, I can serve him, because He is My King and also Father, and that makes Him My best friend and personal savior.
I believe that the only true basis of Christian fellowship is Christ’s Agape love, which is greater than any differences we possess, and without Christ’s love we have no right to claim ourselves as Christians.
I believe worship of God should be spiritual. Therefore, I remain flexible and yield to the leading of the Holy Spirit to direct my worship, but I maintain at all times that I have control over my bodily actions and that while the Spirit may direct or lead me he does not force or control me.
I believe worship of God should be fruitful. Therefore, I look for his love in My life as the supreme proof that I have been truly worshiping Him. That love must shine out of me so that other people can see that I have the Spirit dwelling in Me.
I believe in the inerrancy of Scripture, that the Bible, Old and New Testaments is the inspired, infallible true Word of God, that the Bible is complete and it cannot be added to and it cannot have alterations or removal of Scripture.
I believe in the trinity, that the Godhead eternally exists in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit and these are one God. There is only one God, and he is supreme, high above all else, without Him we would cease to exist.
I believe that all people are by nature separated from God and responsible for their own sin, but that salvation, redemption and forgiveness are freely offered to all by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. When a person repents of sin and accepts Jesus Christ as his or her personal Savior and Lord, trusting him to save, that person is immediately born again and sealed by the Holy Spirit, all his or her sins are forgiven, and that person becomes a child of God, destined to spend eternity with the Lord. No one can make a decision for Christ on behalf of another person. It is a personal decision that each person must make individually and honestly, the decision cannot be forced upon them.
I believe that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God and that through the death and risen power of Christ, all who believe and confess Jesus as Lord will be saved from the penalty and power of sin.
I believe that the Church consists of all persons who have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and made new creations in Christ Jesus. I reject that you can abandon God and return to your prior state. You can be away from God but once you have received Him you cannot leave him because he will not leave you. No matter what you do His love is so big that he will forgive you, this does not, however, allow you to deliberately, with knowledge and understanding to sin because this is not letting God shine in you.
I believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the Healer and that healing is provided for the atonement. Those who do not believe in Christ can be healed by him.
I believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the Baptiser in the Holy Spirit and that this Baptism with signs is promised to every believer. I believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit mentioned in the Scriptures, and that they are valid for today if they are exercised within scriptural guidelines. We as believers are to covet the best gifts, seeking to exercise them in love that the whole Body of Christ might be strengthened. I believe that love is more important than the most spectacular gifts, and without this love all exercise of Spiritual Gifts is worthless.
I believe that everyone who believes in the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior should produce the nine-fold of the Spirit, Galations 5:22-23.
I seek to teach the Word of God to others in such a way that it’s message can be relevant and be applied to individual lives, leading me to greater maturity in Christ.
I believe that God has given some Apostles and some Prophets and some Evangelists and some Pastors and Teachers, for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry and for the edification of the Body of Christ. Ephesians 4:11-12
I believe in the resurrection of the dead, the eternal happiness of all true believers in Christ and the eternal punishment of all Christ’s rejecters. I believe that there is a literal heaven and hell. Believers in Christ will go to heaven and all others will go to hell. Heaven is a place of peace and continual worship of God there is no sin in heaven. Hell is a place of eternal punishment where there is no God or redemption of sins.
I believe in a pre-tribulation rapture. That the anti-Christ is real, that Babylon is a real city in Iraq, The tribulation is a literal seven year period. Satan will be bound for 1000 years. There will be a new Jerusalem established on earth from which Christ will reign.
I believe the current national state of Israel is God’s Holy Land and its recreation on the 14th May 1948 was a fulfillment of Scripture, and Israel has a future in God’s plans. Isaiah 43:5-7
The Ordinances: I believe in the following ordinances:
- Partaking in the Lord’s Supper (or Passover) in memory of our Lord’s death and imminent return.
- Baptism by immersion for believers
- The laying on of hands
- The anointing of the sick with oil
I Reject:
- The belief that true Christians can be demon possessed. The Scripture says “greater is He that is in You than He who is in the world” which makes no sense if a believer can be simultaneously indwelt by both the Holy Spirit and evil spirits. Christians can be attacked by demons, but they cannot be possessed or controlled by them.
- “Positive Confession” (the belief that God can be commanded to work or work miracles according to man’s will)
- Human prophecy that supersedes the Scriptures
- The incorporation of humanistic and secular psychology and philosophy into Biblical teaching.
The Apostle’s Creed I believe in God the Father Almighty Maker of Heaven and Maker of Earth And in Jesus Christ His only begotten Son, my Lord He was conceived by the Holy Spirit Born of the virgin Mary Suffered under Pontius Pilate He was crucified and dead and buried I believe that He who suffered was crucified, buried and dead He descended into hell and on the third day, rose again He ascended into Heaven where he sits at God’s mighty right hand I believe that He’s returning To judge the quick and the dead and the sons of men I believe in God the Father Almighty Maker of Heaven and Maker of Earth And in Jesus Christ His only begotten Son, my Lord I believe in the Holy Spirit One Holy Church The communion of Saints The forgiveness of sin I believe in the resurrection I believe in a life that never ends
